🏆 What is the WPL?

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is India’s premier women’s franchise Twenty20 (T20) cricket league, organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It features star Indian and international players representing franchise teams competing for the title.

📅 WPL 2025 (Third Season)

  • Held from 14 February to 15 March 2025.

  • 5 teams competed: Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and UP Warriorz.

  • Mumbai Indians Women won the championship in 2025.

📅 WPL 2026 (Fourth Season)

  • Scheduled from 9 January to 5 February 2026.

  • Again features 5 franchise teams in a double round‑robin + playoffs format.

  • Matches are being held in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara, with the final on 5 February 2026.

  • The league includes 22 matches before playoffs.
